Itinerary

Dhampus hiking begins in Pokhara with a trek to Dhampus. You will drive to Phedi about half an hour from Pokhara. Then start trekking to Dhampus village for 3/4 hrs. We begin our adventure into the forests from Melbot on a wide trail. The Annapurna Himalayan Range is seen from the start of the trek. The walk then turns left, leaving the big road and entering a tight steep trail. We then reach the ridge and continue to Astham, where we shall eat lunch. We then descend a short distance to rejoin the wide trail. We then enter a magar settlement, leaving the main trail behind for a time. We eventually arrived in Dhampus, passing by a local school on the route. We’ll spend the night here.
Day 2: Trek from Dhampus to Sarangkot (1590m/4-5 hours walk)
We get up early to see the sunrise from across the entire Annapurna Range. However, one of the best sunrise viewing points is yet to be accomplished in Sarangkot. Sarangkot is one of the best sunrise and sunset viewing points in Pokhara, with spectacular views of Annapurna (8,091m.), Dhaulagiri (8,167m.), Ganesh Himal (7,446m.), Manaslu (8,165m.), Machhapuchhre (6,993m.), and the city of Pokhara. The first section of the trail is a gentle walk on the same path we took yesterday. After around ten minutes of walking, we turn right towards Sarangkot, followed by a descent to Ghatte Khola. We begin our ascent towards Naudanda after crossing the river on a suspension bridge. From Naudanda, we enter the Naudanda-Sarangkot hiking track, which continues to the top of the hill and offers spectacular views. We stop for a while on the way down the hill at a place named Kaskikot. Spend the night here.
Day 3: Trek to Bank of Phewa lake and half-day Pokhara city sightseeing (820m/ 2-3 hours walk)
Early in the morning see the glorious views of the sunrise in Sarangkot with the beautiful Himalayas and trek down to Pokhara on the bank of Phewa Lake. We cross Phewa Lake by boating and visit David fall, Mahendra cave and the International Mountain museum. After spending some time at the viewpoint we returned. Then after, we began to hike towards Pokhara city. The trail today is mostly downhill which joins the main roads of Pokhara near the lakeside. Finally, our Dhampus Trek comes to an end.
